Reductive Monoprints
For the premiere First Friday Art Walk in our new storefront space on Congress Street, the artists at Publication Studio contributed works to an exhibition to commemorate our studio’s “Zero-th Birthday” To match our fledgling status the theme of baby animals was settled upon and a reductive monoprinting workshop was held to explore the possibilities offered by our newly acquired etching press.
These artworks are one of a kind pieces, made by layering inks in primary colors through multiple printings to achieve full color where the inks overlap on the paper.
